04:01 am - MERRY CHRISTMAS TO YOU!! This is the time of the year I enjoy more because I spend good quality time with my family.  By family I mean almost 40 people, including uncles, aunts, cousins and so, in a BIG family reunion in the family ranch.  No fancy places, no fancy clothes.  Just us and LOTS of fun.  This year, I also have you, people in my flist, as my family too.  I want to thank you all for just being  my friend and for being there for me.  And above all, I want to wish you a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year. I really loved the cards sent to me, specially the one coming from France with the little stars inside.  That was a nice touch, honey!! Love you!! 04:05 am - YUHAAAAAAAAAAAA!! I just got tagged by my friend happywriter06 Thank you, Simone!!  You just made my day. 1. List seven habits/facts/quirks about yourself 2. Tag seven people to do the same 3. Do not tag the person who tagged you or say that you tag whoever wants to 1.- I married my first one and only boyfriend 2.- I have always wished to have a sister 3.- If I have to choose, I choose to be stranded in  a deserted island with just  my family and... tons of books to read. 4.- I studied in a Girls Catholic School. When I was in High School, I was the  "mastermind"  behind a fake wedding: sixties high heels, tuxedos, costumes and everything, running back and forth the school corridors during class hours. Needless to say that I almost got expelled but I had, oh yesssss!!, the time of my life...  Thirty years later, the nuns still remember the "wedding". 5.- Two places I've never been:  Australia and New Zealand.  Pretty sure I won't die before I can make it there. 6.- My son is my Prince Charming. 7- I don't like parties. 08:16 pm - HOT, HOT, HOT...WEATHER Today has been a really hot day.  So hot, that I've been sweating all day long.  Guess I shoul be used by now, since all we have here is Summer time... the whole year. It"s kind of boring sometimes to have the same weather all the time.  Anyway, today is Saint John's day and the Summer solstice was a couple of days ago, which  remind me my time living in Barcelona.  That was 10 years ago, when I was doing my residency at the Red Cross Hospital.  Awee!! those were good days back then.. *sighs* *sighs* Current Mood: melancholy Tags: hot, saint john, summer time

Written for the </a></font></b></a>pbhiatus_fic challenge #5: "They say it's your birthday" A/N:  Inspired in the son "Un ramito de violetas" of the long gone Spanish singer Cecilia. I've reading fanfics for a while now and finally I made up my mind and decide to join you, girls, in this fantastic adventure.  I know RPF is so wrong! I love it !! Anyway, since we are all guilty, let's just enjoy the ride... with me as your new bus driver...         It was her birthday … again.   And as in every birthday since a few years ago, here they were… again   A little bouquet of violets… with an unsigned card. ***************   She used to be happy as a married woman even though she thought her husband was the demmon himself. In fact, he’s got bad temper. She always complained he was never tender, never lovely…  He has never ever wished her Happy Birthday... like everybody else.   For more than 3 years now, she’s been receiving anonymous letters, letters filled with poetry, with love… that somewhat had given her joy back…   Who would that be writing poems for her?, who would that be sending her flowers during Spring?,  who would that be that every June First, as usually without a card, would send her a little bouquet of violets?..   Sometimes she dreams and wonders who would that one be, that seems to care about her so much. She wonders: will he have white hair?, will he look at me with tender eyes?, Will he have an easy smile?... will he…?   As the hours fly away, she lives holding to the illusion of being loved and cared..   …And at the end of the day, when her husband comes back from work, he just glances at her, not saying anything, not saying a word … Not even Happy Birthday…   He is happy as long as she is…  And today she is, because as every year, she's got them. He already knows... cause he is the one who has been writing her letters,  the one who has been sending her flowers.
